Instructions:
- Marinate fish with turmeric and salt for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil, shallow-fry fish pieces until lightly golden, remove.
- In the same pan, sauté onions, chilies, and ginger-garlic paste.
- Add tomatoes, turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until masala thickens.
- Add 1½ cups water, bring to a boil.
- Add fried fish pieces, simmer gently for 10 minutes.
- Finish with garam masala and coriander.

- Serve with plain steamed rice or jeera rice.
- Pair with phulka (soft roti) or paratha for a complete meal.
- Tastes great with a side of onion salad and lemon wedges.
