  • 2 cups yogurt slightly sour
  • 2 tbsp besan gram flour
  • 1 tsp ginger-green chili paste
  • 1 tbsp jaggery or sugar
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
For Tempering:
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 dried red chilies
  • 8 curry leaves
  • Pinch of asafoetida hing

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Whisk yogurt, besan, turmeric, salt, jaggery, and 2 cups water until smooth.
  2. Heat mixture and simmer on low for 10–12 mins, stirring to avoid curdling.
  3. Prepare tempering with ghee, mustard, cumin, hing, chilies, and curry leaves. Pour over kadhi.
