Step 1: Prepare Baati
- Mix flour, semolina, ghee, carom seeds, and salt.
- Knead into a stiff dough with water.
- Shape into medium-sized balls.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes, or cook in a tandoor until golden.
Step 2: Cook Dal
- Pressure cook all dals with turmeric and salt until soft.
- Heat ghee, add cumin, garlic, onion, tomato, and spices.
- Add cooked dal and simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 3: Make Churma
- Knead flour with ghee into a stiff dough.
- Make small balls, bake until crisp.
- Crush and mix with jaggery and nuts.
