  • 500 g mutton goat/lamb, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions sliced
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 1 cup yogurt whisked
  • 8 –10 dried red chilies preferably Mathania, soaked
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 4 tbsp ghee
  • Salt to taste

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Make a chili paste by blending soaked red chilies.
  2. Heat ghee, add onions, and sauté until golden.
  3. Add garlic, ginger, chili paste, and cook well.
  4. Add mutton and sauté until browned.
  5. Mix in yogurt, spices, and tomatoes.
  6. Add water, cover, and cook until meat is tender (about 40 mins).
